The Douglas Neighbor moved into its new office next door to Kauffman Tire in the Paulding Pavilion shopping center at the corner of Hwy. 92 and Hwy. 278 in Hiram Friday. Paulding Pavilion is also home to Sports Authority and Staples.

“This move will allow us to continue to cover local news, sports and features in a location that is highly accessible and easily visible to both our readers and advertisers. We look forward to continuing our winning tradition of community journalism,” said Neighbor Newspapers General Manager Otis Brumby III.

The move marks a consolidation of The Neighbor’s Douglas and Paulding offices and will increase efficiency and quality in both markets.

The Neighbor has retained the same dedicated staff and hired additional employees with the same philosophy of community journalism. A total of eight employees including reporters, account executives, sports editors and photo journalists will be working out of the new office.

As always, the community is invited to stop by the new office to pick up additional copies of the paper, drop off local photos, purchase ads and share story ideas. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Douglas Neighbor has been covering Douglas County weekly since 1970. The Neighbor is family owned and operated by Times Journal and Neighbor Newspapers, Inc., a local newspaper publishing group delivering more than 400,000 newspapers in ten metro Atlanta counties each week.

The mailing address of the new office is 4471 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy., Suite 200 & 201C, Hiram, Ga, 30141. Residents can also e-mail the paper at douglas
